Born on April 22, 1996, in Seoul, South Korea, Go Youn-jung initially pursued a degree in contemporary art at Seoul Women's University. During her college years, an unexpected request to model for a senior's photography project changed her life trajectory. Although the feature generated numerous casting offers from entertainment agencies, Go initially declined them to focus on her studies before eventually joining MAA Entertainment.
